But never fear, the complaints have nothing to do with DA.
Firstly, this past week a few artists whose work I LOVE have resurfaced and posted - I am one happy girl
And some possible commissions? Dang, I'm stoked! Too bad I have a car payment and insurance and stuff now...I have to budget myself. Weird.
Secondly, my all-time favorite TV show and guilty pleasure, Teen Titans, announced that it's coming back with new full-length episodes in 2013. I KNOW, RIGHT?! Good things; original voice cast, same characters, generally same character designs. Bad things; different animation style and strictly comedic approach. But HEY, they came back! That's more than I ever thought would happen!
Now for the complaint.
Firstly I must tell you that this is strictly me venting. Nothing will ever come of it, I'm just plain ol' pissed off. I work for a small movie theatre that, all things aside, is ghetto. The building itself is like 20 years old and has been owned by three different companies in its lifetime. Currently it's an AMC, but the sign out front says Odeon Cineplex, and the sign by the road said Leows Cineplex. It's ghetto. Well this summer, to "improve community relations," they're having a free movie camp for kids! It starts today with UP. Now, when I was little, my mom took me and my brothers to this and we had a BLAST. I feel bad because my little sister was WAY too young to remember this, so I suggested that we go to this one. Not a bad idea, right? I mean, I'm EMPLOYED here, so it stands to reason I should get all the free movies I want, whether it be UP or the newest Batman. Needless to say my little sister was excited. Heck, my little brothers were even excited! So this morning I go to put in my availability and see that I have an email from my manager. I open it, worried that I missed the scheduling, but instead find that my family and i can NOT attend the summer movie camp BECAUSE I'm employed there.
Whut?
You want to improve community relations but you tell your employees to back off? And AFTER I'd picked up a movie schedule. Why not tell me when I got the damn paper that I can't come? He was standing right there, for Pete's sake. Here's a theory from the underlings, AMC. IF YOU WANT TO HAVE GOOD COMMUNITY RELATIONS, DON'T CHARGE $8 FOR A BAG OF POPCORN.
And don't hire socially inept dingbats to be in charge of managing. Frick. What's wrong with this world?
